My name is Andy Warren and I am the Executive Director of the Associated General Contractors of Iowa. We have new and relatively new scholarships we will be awarding this Spring to Iowa High School Seniors.
I have attached the two different scholarships in both MS Word and PDF formats. The deadlines are April 12th and awards will be announced by May 1st. We appreciate forwarding this information to any interested student.
The Associated General Contractors of Iowa (AGC Iowa) is a non-profit trade association designed to further the heavy highway construction industry in Iowa. We have 171 contractor members around the state and perform over 90% of the Iowa Department of Transportation's construction work every year. AGC Iowa also has a non-profit charitable foundation that awards scholarships to students attending many community colleges and four-year universities/colleges.

|The Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS® (ICAAR) Scholarship Foundation is happy to announce the opening of applications for the 2020 ICAAR Community Service Scholarship Program. We have designated $4,000 to be awarded in the form of one $2,000, one $1,000 and two $500 scholarships to be awarded to graduating seniors at high schools within the ICAAR service area (Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Washington and Muscatine Counties). The student must attend school in one of the aforementioned counties.|
Application deadline is March 27th. Applications and letters of recommendation will be submitted electronically via the link provided. Application information can also be found on icaar.org. Students chosen to receive scholarships will be asked to provide a school photo for use in press releases. Scholarships awarded through the ICAAR Community Service Scholarship Program are intended to be used for college education and expenses at any accredited college, university, community college, technical or trade school. Children of REALTORS®/members of ICAAR are not eligible to apply (separate scholarship opportunities are available).
It is important to understand that determination of the relative merit of submitted applicants will be judged primarily on the information provided in the short answer section of the application. Although academic standing and extra curricular activities are important, they will not be the emphasis for this award. The primary focus will be on community involvement and service to others. This emphasis on community service mirrors the philosophy of the REALTOR® members who devote so many hours service to community and civic activities. We hope that these scholarships will encourage students to continue to seek opportunities to serve.
Scholarships will be presented by an ICAAR REALTOR® member at the student's respective award ceremonies. If you have any questions, feel free to contact ICAAR at 319-338-6460 or firstname.lastname@example.org
